    Product Description

DT 770 STUDIO Headphones. The phrase Studio standard" is thrown around far too often when describing recording gear. That phrase has never been more accurate than when describing the DT-770 by Beyerdynamic. Beyerdynamic invented the dynamic headphone 90 years ago, and the DT-770 has been a studio standard, closed-back headphone for over 30 of those years. The DT-770 is a tracking headphone. It has high isolation to keep what's playing in your headphone in your headphone and out of your microphones. The isolation is also to keep outside sounds out of your monitor mix. The huge bass and crispy highs are there to inspire your performance throughout every session. Since these are professional, handmade in Germany tools, every part including the headband, cable, and earpads can be replaced, ensuring a life-long investment. The only difference between the DT-770 STUDIO and the classic DT-770 is the name. This 80ohm, exclusive headphone is optimized for use in professional recording studios and hi-end recording gear. The word STUDIO has been added to drive the point home that this hi-impedance headphone belongs in the studio.

Only difference seems to be the cord. Studio is tacky rubber and Pro is smooth.

Only difference seems to be the cord. Studio is tacky rubber and Pro is smooth.
I always got the DT770 Pro. These "Studio" seem the same. Quick google search suggests they are the same. The do feel and sound the same to me. The only difference between the Studio and the Pro is the cord on all my Pro branded cans are smooth and a bit stiffer and slide easily along my arm and sides as I move around. The cord on the Studio version are tacky and more bendy and I can fee them grabbing along the fabric of my shirt or sweater. Its a small difference and maybe all the cords are this way now, Pro or Studio, but its annoying enough to make me avoid these and just get the Pro branded version if the cord is still smooth.

I am a professional voice over artist and these 80-ohm headphones are by-far the best quality & sound I have ever experienced in 45 years of work! The quality of the sound is unmatched and the range from highs to lows is incredible. Music as well as instrumentals as well as vocals are the absolute best you could expect. The noise cancellation is about 97% which is awesome. The build on the headset is wonderful. I had a set of Burl Wood Elites that were as good but very heavy on the head. Those cost in the thousands. This model from Beyerdynamic brings the 2-thousand-dollar quality into an affordable product. The weight is perfect. Not too heavy and not too light. I use mine on average 8 hrs. per day 6x a week, so product weight is a big factor. Trust me, these are easy to use for the entire day! The muffs are so incredibly comfortable due to the velour covers and the actual ear-to-speaker distance (inside the ear cover) ratio. Your ears will not get crushed with these. The cord is plenty long enough for mobility in the studio or simply wound up for desk duty. The dual plug capabilities are very convenient for various equipment needs (amps, compressors, etc.). I give these headphones a true 5* and then some. HIGHLY recommend.

I have not seen or heard of a set of low-end headphones that are a better value than these. When I say low-end, I mean for audiophile headphones as they can easily approach $1000+. I have now had these for three months and I am continually shocked by these headphones.

The good things about the DT 770s: 1. They are very comfortable, I wear them for hours at a time (even with a mask around my ears) and I never have any issues with them. I have larger ears so some headphones such as AudioTechnica mx50x can be a tight fit, but there is plenty of space in these cans. They also have interchangeable padding which is a plus, but I really like the included padding, so I likely won't change. 2. They have a very balanced sound profile. I am not a huge fan of a thumping bass and I mostly listen to Classical and Rock music. The sound is very clear in the highs, mids, and lows. It is very easy to distinguish between different parts, even in chaotic songs. 3. The build is very sturdy. The earcups are made of a hard plastic which I have no worries about breaking. And as mentioned above the padding can easily be replaced when it wears out.

      The cons of the DT770s:
      1. They do not have a removeable cable. They come with a nice cable that is fairly long, but I would like to have the opportunity to replace the cable if I wanted to.
      2. Higher impedance needs a DAC. This isn't con as much as a warning for those who are not aware. If you buy the 80 Ohm or 250 Ohm 770s you will need to spend at least $80 dollars on a DAC to power the headphones. If you are wanting to listen off your phone or computer without a DAC, get the 32 Ohm version.

Again, these are amazing headphones and I would recommend them to anyone looking for some good studio headphones on the lower-end!

5/5 headphones. They're probably the best cheap headphones you can get for the price tag. Amazing sub-bass and incredibly good soundstage for closed back headphones.
I own the Dt 990 pro's as well, and comparing the two, it seems like the 990's are more clear mids and highs with muddied and violent bass/sub-bass whilst the 770's have a much clearer sub-bass/bass signature with a slightly less clear mid range and high range. The soundstage on the 990's are obviously better, but for a closed back, the 770's have a great soundstage.

The Dt 990's are a warm sound shape, whilst the DT 770's I'd personally say are a V sound shape. They have great bass but are also slightly trebly. However, a quick EQ will fix that right up.

If you're in a pickle and trying to decide between the 990's and the 770's, ask yourself if you're in a busy loud environment, or you have an entire gaming room to yourself. The 770's will block out sound very well and keep sound in so no one can hear what you're listening to even standing right next to you, whilst the 990's will let quite a lot of sound in and leak a tiny bit of noise out.

On the topic of comfort, I'd say these are a 3.75/5. The cups that the limited edition come with are more of a weird, much harder cushion than the default cups that the 990's come with. I bought custom memory foam cups to replace the default ones because of the comfort issue, but otherwise, they sit very well on the head and feel very soft along the headband which is very important to me because of my large head.

5.0 out of 5 stars A QUIÉN VA REALMENTE DIRIGIDO, ES ¡MUY! IMPORTANTE

¿Quieres monitorizar, graver voces, bajo, guitarra, hacer mezclas?

Espero haberte ayudado a bien elegir.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best headphones I have ever tried, (And I have tried a LOT of headphones).

I've used a ton of different headphones over the years, but the DT 770s have honestly left me speechless. These headphones bring out sounds in my favorite tracks that I didn’t even know existed. The surround sound is truly magnificent. If you are looking for a gaming headphone for the same price as this one, Please buy this one, It's better than a LOT of gaming headphones in the same price range in terms of surround sound. The bass is clear and deep without overpowering the mids or highs, and I find myself picking up on details I usually missed. It feels like hearing everything for the first time. The comfort level is unmatched too—long sessions don’t feel tiring, and the build quality is so solid that they feel like they’ll last forever. Plus, the isolation is incredible; I can completely lose myself in the music without distractions. It does kinda leak out some sounds in higher volumes, but I wouldn't mind it since I have it half the volume (and it's still loud). If you’re even a little bit on the fence, just go for it. I’ve tried everything from budget to premium models, and I’d recommend the DT 770s over all of them without hesitation!
