I am a 41-year-old single woman, and five years ago I froze 36 of my eggs. The storage period ends next year and I am preoccupied with whether or not to use them to have a baby. I do have the option of paying for another five years, in case the right man comes along, but he hasn’t so far — despite my efforts — so I feel reluctant to delay things any longer. I would love to have a child with a man I love, but this is not how my life has turned out.
