61% of online consumers say they'd choose rapid delivery over the eco-friendly option of consolidated shipments. Let's break that down further. 👇 When online shopping... - 41.4% of those over 65 are more likely to choose more sustainable delivery - 63.2% of households with children are more likely to select quick delivery - 59.8% of households without kids are more likely to select quick delivery - Asian Americans and Millennials are the most likely groups to choose sustainable delivery over speed (47.8% and 44.1%, respectively) - The larger the household, the more concerned shoppers are with faster delivery E-shoppers wanted faster delivery during the pandemic, in particular. There was a 9% decline in consideration for delivery that took more than 2 days during a one-year time frame: 64% chose two-day-or-longer delivery in September 2019, versus 55% in September 2020.

When was this survey carried out and who was interviewed? It depends on timings and context/circumstances as to how one interprets these findings.

The category of the product plays a major role in this analysis. The trend particularly in India would show a steep rise in the orders of essential products. The nature of these products contributes significantly towards the choice of speedy deliveries. In the nonessential segment,7 working days is generally accepted by the customers (speaking from experience)

April Lefebvre, this is exactly what I was talking about the other day as a sidenote to your post about fake "green labels." Is it possible to be "consumer-centric" and "eco-friendly" when the two don't line up? When I hear businesses say they want to be the most consumer-centric organization in their field...makes me do a double-take.

What about controlling for weighted channel distributions among online shoppers? Does the random sample (data) meet all standard assumptions for this analysis? Bullet points 2 and 3 can be more confusing than insightful. Thanks for sharing - interesting trends.
