The Economic Club of Hong Kong is a platform for lifelong learning. We believe that to truly learn a subject, we must not only read about it but also critically think it through and discuss with people with different perspectives.
 
That is why, at The Economic Club of Hong Kong, everyone is a teacher and a student at the same time. We read the articles, meet up and share our opinions. That is how we learn.

Meeting Format

Each meeting has a theme and assigned readings.  At the meeting, we introduce ourselves as a wider group and then split up into smaller groups for in-depth discussion from our perspectives and ideas but backed up by knowledge from the readings.
 
In the smaller groups, members begin by introducing key points from the readings while others can raise new points or delve into each individually.  Questions, new pathways for discussion, personal experience and opinions are highly encouraged.  We conclude by rejoining the whole group and sharing our insights.
