A brand new show bringing analysis, insight and access to women’s pro cycling has been launched on YouTube and IGTV.
The Bunnyhop, a monthly half-hour programme hosted by presenter, commentator and journalist Rebecca Charlton, puts women’s cycling into the spotlight with race reviews, previews and interviews with the some of the peloton’s biggest names.
It is being produced by London-based company La Pédale, which also made Deceuninck-QuickStep‘s Wolfpack Insider: Tour de France film.
There are two episodes currently available to watch, with the first featuring studio guests Molly Weaver and Rose Manley as well as a tour of the roads around Sheffield with Lizzy Banks.
Manley, who is also executive producer of the series, said, ‘The time really felt right to launch a show we’ve been planning for a while now.
‘Having been involved in the production of professional cycling content for many years, it was glaringly obvious to us that there was a scarcity of women’s specific content, and we wanted to address that by bringing cycling fans a fresh new voice. I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved already, and can’t wait for everyone to see it.’
Charlton said of the new series, ‘I’m thrilled to be part of The Bunnyhop. Having raced from an early age myself, I understand the importance of role models having a direct channel to the fans, and for the sport to be treated with professional and insightful coverage it deserves.
‘I want to see the sport continue to reach wider audiences and for in-depth analysis of the women’s professional peloton to be readily available.’
