A vegan tandem bicycle is en route from PETA to Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez in celebration of their wedding in Montecito, known for its picturesque beaches and beautiful bike paths—perfect for a bicycle built for two!

Grande has been outspoken about animal rights since she first rose to stardom, and late last year, she launched Orange Twins Rescue, an effort to spay, neuter, and find homes for dogs and cats in the Los Angeles area. PETA was delighted to see that while the happy couple’s ceremony only included a few close friends and family members, they, of course, made room for Grande’s own adopted dogs.

“After all she’s done to help dogs and cats find loving families, PETA is delighted that Ariana has found love herself,” says PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lange. “We wish her and Dalton a fun and happy future filled with adventures together—starting on the back of this tandem bike!”

PETA notes that animal rescue work like Grande’s is essential: An estimated 70 million dogs and cats are homeless in the U.S. at any given time, an estimated 10% of whom end up in animal shelters. The solution is prevention through spaying and neutering—and always adopting and never buying animals from breeders or pet stores, which contribute to the homelessness crisis.

PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to abuse in any way”—opposes speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview. For more information, please visit PETA.org or follow the group on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram.
