Representative Betty McCollum's historic bill, H.R. 2590, the Palestinian Children and Families Act insists on the rights to safety, dignity, and freedom for the Palestinian people: the freedom to thrive, free from child detention, home demolitions, continual Israeli annexation and land theft. 

We know that together we must defund tax dollars from all systems of harm—from U.S. military funding to Israel, to U.S. complicity in the Saudi-blockade on Yemen, to the massive investment of our tax dollars in the violence of policing. Instead, we can invest in justice and build real safety.

By insisting on greater transparency and accountability around U.S. military funding to Israel, we move closer to a world where we divest from harm and invest in justice for all.

The work is as urgent as ever: families in Sheikh Jarrah, East Jerusalem are fighting evictions and home demolitions right now, during a pandemic, while the Israeli military continues to separate Palestinian children from their families.

Let's make sure our Representatives hear us loud and clear - they must co-sponsor H.R. 2590, and continue supporting the rights of the Palestinian people in Congress.
