SHANGHAI/NEW DELHI -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday urged major countries to work together to mitigate persistent economic risks from COVID-19, the same day fresh data showed waning momentum in the world's No. 2 economy.

Addressing the World Economic Forum virtually, Xi also reiterated his warning against a "Cold War mentality" that he said would undermine efforts to solve shared problems -- a thinly veiled jab at the U.S. and its allies.
