Protests at state capitol in Tallahassee fizzle out

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Law enforcement ramped up at the state capitol in Tallahassee Wednesday afternoon after word came about possible protests during the inauguration.

However, the protests fizzled out after not many people showed up.

The protests lasted a couple of hours, with most people there just before noon until around 2 p.m.

There was very little activity outside the front of the capitol, and no visible law enforcement presence.

One protestor said he was there to protest censorship and what happened with the election, but he really wanted to encourage others to go home, to keep trouble from happening like we saw at the U.S. capitol.
