We're expanding

Hi!

We're expanding the scope of our work and we need your help. In the coming months, we'd like to begin planning an impact-focused seminar series (which we will tell you all about once you join 😉), resuscitate our podcast (with much needed modifications), while maintaining our weekly newsletters. At the moment, That New News is run by 2 women who are quite busy and cannot handle all of this, so, we're hoping we can get some extra hands.

None of these roles will require too much of your time. Less than 5 hours a week.

Roles we're looking to fill:

An additional writer:

Every week, we keep our readers up to date on the socio-economic and socio-political news in Nigeria and Africa. We outline what's happening, why it is relevant and any necessary context. An additional writer will alternate this responsibility with our current writer. You’ll also act as a sounding board for our other projects

A project coordinator:

We're currently at the idea stage of our webinar/seminar series. We're looking for someone to support with execution and fleshing out the long-term idea.

Podcast partner/host(s):

We're looking for two people who can hold a conversation. You’ll be past of the podcast scripting and editing process. It's going to be a fortnightly release. We're currently toying with the idea of an interview-based series.

A podcast producer

We need someone to handle the technical (editing) product process. You’ll also act as a sounding board for the podcast scripting and execution ideas.
