US contributor Michael Ware says it’s a pandemic of the unvaccinated in America and Republicans appear to be taking a new tone with the vaccine.
This comes as the US grapples with the highly contagious Delta variant of COVID-19.
“97 to 99 per cent of the people who are getting sick or going to hospital or dying are unvaccinated,” Mr Ware told Sky News.
“It’s almost as if this vicious Delta variant is targeting conservative voters. If you look at the map in the areas where there is the lowest rate of vaccinations, they are conservative.
"Republicans seem to be taking on a new tone. The governor of Florida who pushed back against mandates and restrictions finally urged the people of his state to get vaccinated.
“On Fox News, which has been home to a lot of vaccine questioning, we saw its prime time host Sean Hannity call for his viewers to go out and get vaccinated.” …...more
