WATCH LIVE: Senate Commerce Committee Grills Big Tech CEOs Over Alleged Censorship

Today big tech returns to Capitol Hill to face another round of questioning at a Senate Commerce Committee hearing. Facebook Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, and Google parent company Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai will answer questions ostensibly about some see as Big Tech censorship in the run-up to the 2020 presidential election.

The CEOs will appear virtually and will almost certainly face tough questions about the way the companies they oversee have handled hate speech, extremist content, and election disinformation, including the most controversial online comments from President Donald Trump.

A curiously sourced story from The New York Post about Hunter Biden’s laptop and information revealed by what is claimed to be a copied version of the hard drive led Twitter to suspend users who shared that story and has kept the NY Post Twitter account currently suspended. The reason for the suspension?

Twitter has instituted guidelines that no articles promoting hacked material can be shared on its platform. Users who were suspended for sharing the story regained access after deleting the tweet, but the NY Post has not amended the article, which is why they are still suspended.
