Hunter Biden’s associates once sought meeting with Gina Raimondo

Hunter Biden and his associates once sought out a meeting with Gina Raimondo, a Rhode Island state official who went on to become governor, and now serves as U.S. Commerce Secretary.

President Biden tapped Raimondo for the top job at Commerce in January of this year.

In 2011, Raimondo was Rhode Island’s treasurer, prompting Hunter Biden associate Neil Callahan to push his colleagues at Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners to pop in for some face time.

“I know this is last minute, but if anyone has the time try and stop by and meet Gina,” Callahan, the company’s managing director, wrote in the March 28, 2011 email found on Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Rosemont execs felt they had an edge with Raimondo, because her assistant treasurer, Josh Brumberger, was a “friend of the firm,” Callahan wrote.

“I think this is a good relationship for us to maintain and develop,” he said in an email.

The message was sent to Hunter Biden as well as his business associates Eric Schwerin, Arlene Busch, Robert Walker and Michael Muldoon. It’s unclear what the group was after from Raimondo, but they were looking into off-shore wind farm investments in the state at around the same time.

It’s also unclear whether the meeting ever took place. Reps for Raimondo at the Department of Commerce did not respond to a request for comment from The Post.
