National Security Council head to meet US counterpart in Washington

Eyal Hulata, Israel's National Security Council head, will meet US President Joe Biden's National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan in Washington.

A senior diplomatic source confirmed to The Jerusalem Post that the two are set to discuss issues related to Iran.

Furthermore, Sullivan will also travel to Cairo Egypt with White House Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa Brett McGurk on Wednesday, The White House stated.

Sullivan is to discuss Egypt’s role in promoting security and prosperity for both Israelis and Palestinians following the visit by Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennet to Egypt earlier.

Support for Libyan and regional security are also to be among the topics discussed between US and Egyptian delegation.

Sullivan will host Israeli National Security Advisor, Dr. Eyal Hulata, in Washington on October 5 for more discussions on these subjects and "a meeting of the US-Israel Strategic Consultative Group," The White House also stated.
