It is also one of only two countries in the world where slavey is legal and widespread with millions in the country's prisons. It is also not a democracy which is why the capitalist can run the country to maximize their wealth at the expense of everyone else. The mistake is thinking that such people have a heart.

We really should be ashamed of our medical industrial complex that preys on poor and dying Americans. Getting caught-up in the system and not being able to anticipate the cost of your needs have driven many to madness or the poorhouse. My Mom cried because after constant office visits and hospitalizations, she couldn't get ANYONE from the providers to tell her what she owed. Face it, they make it up as they go along, especially the hospitals. There was a mountain of paperwork. She had medicare, some coverage from her husband's work, and help from the state. After she passed I threw it all in the wastebasket. I would have gladly paid any balance from our account if it made any damn sense. The state got some money back from where she lived, but that was because she had to sign it over when they agreed to help. Fair enough on that account.

Here's a good tip: make sure you set up any bank accounts for Payable On Death. This is for checking, savings, money market, and certificate of deposit accounts. You will need the SSN of the person(s) named. That individual will need your death certificate and ID to claim it. This supersedes your will or probate. Look this up on the net, and tell your family and friends. Check out similar options for your stocks. It could very well help if big health care bills are involved. From there it is a matter of conscience, not the courts, after those bills are reviewed.
