What you described as having "Nice Things" for our citizens is another way of framing the purpose of our government. In other words, our public sector decision-makers are charged with the responsibility of promoting our general welfare and I submit they must execute their duties using best practice-based solutions. Of course, as long as the oligarchs control our government's decision-makers, the "Nice Things" will go to the oligarchs.

Isn't a decent health care system and the way to pay for it the ultimate "Love thy neighbor as thyself"? First of all we deserve it. But mostly, you cannot expect people to get a good education, work their whole lives, and create and raise new Americans without it. It's logical. It is not logical to connect health insurance to an employer. You could argue it isn't fair to the employers and employees alike.

In Russia they go to college for free. A result is they have so many computer guru's that they have nothing better to do than hack us for Ransom. We do not have the college graduates with computer science degrees to combat the.

Off subject but related to the 4th of July that we all just witnessed. Is it really patriotic to spend billion and billions of dollars on fire works, that give momentary excitement. Considering that all are purchased from China? I mean, talk about giving Xi a blank check! Should we not show our Patriotism in a way that benefits the USA, not China?
