I used my FB page to support progressive causes, and received many positive comments and my own support. Then the FB Thought Police Robot shut me down twice for posting to too many other pages. WTF? I deleted my account. I will NEVER bow down to Fascism. Now, I'm thinking of starting my own website, if I can afford the money and time.

I am in total agreement. I signed onto FB to catch up with old friends, and also see what my then school aged son was posting. Ended following lots of animals sanctuaries, hs friends and the like, but in 2016, I did start posting some political commentary. Now, over the last few years, with every major change up, it has become impossible to even use FB. I can no longer see any of the regular things I started FB to see, without specifically having to go and "look" for them. My feed is all political, even though that is only a very small part of what I do (I save most my political opinions for Twitter.) At least I can navigate the site with my desktop computer, but at home, on my ipad, I am trapped, and literally (and ridiculously,) only see postings from 1 person. WTF? So I no longer use FB outside of my office at all, and while here at work, will only take maybe 1 quick look. I am hesitant to completely shut down, but also waiting for the next "better thing" to arise.
