The Trump administration was unprepared for a pandemic and unresponsive when the coronavirus came to the United States. The failure to take decisive action, according to epidemiologists, likely cost tens of thousands of lives. But months into the COVID-19 outbreak, the administration's incompetence and impatience continue to have deadly consequences.
One of Trump's more heinous acts....but then again, there are so many, so frequently, it is impossible to assess the comparative horribleness. We must VOTE HIM OUT - with mail- in and absentee ballots!
My husband is eligible for full VA healthcare. Until recently, the VA used strict evidence-based protocols for treatments and prescribed medicines. Despite its faults, we trusted that the VA would care for him with his best interests in mind. These days, I’m not so sure, and stories like this confirm my fears. For years, we were pretty happy with his experience there. Over the past two years, he’s gradually stopped using the VA system and is now for the most part using the private health care system.
But I guess that’s the whole point though, isn’t it?
What is additionally concerning is that major FOX News personalities like Laura Ingraham and Tucker Carlson are also promoting hydroxychloroquine as an efficacious COVID-19 drug. Meanwhile, the people who legitimately need it face shortages.
They were promoting but a few weeks back, then they suddenly stopped hyping it. A hear a journalist ponder if they were indeed concerned with law suits, certainly after there were cases of deaths related to it.
Trumps plan all along has been to baffle with bullshit. There is so much criminality flying around this entire administration that one loses track of it all. We know the Justice Dept and the State Depts are totally in trumps pocket as is most, if not all, the Cabinet. There are currently three very important cases in front of the Supreme Court that will tell us whether or not to panic fully. And watch what goes on with the postal service before the upcoming election. My mind is breaking just writing this. What is happening at the VA is heartbreaking but just add that to the ever-lengthening list.
