The Remnant with Jonah Goldberg
In “The Remnant," Jonah Goldberg enlists a “Cannonball Run”-style cast of stars, has-beens, and never-weres to address the most pressing issues of the day. Is America doomed? Has liberalism failed? And will mankind ever invent something better than ‘90s-era “Simpsons?” Mixing political history, pop culture, rank punditry, and shameless book-plugging, Goldberg and guests will have the kinds of conversations we wish they featured on TV. And the nudity will (almost) always be tasteful. Brace your bingo cards.

Absolutely the finest Depth of references to serious thinkers, ridiculously funny at times, Jonah puts himself out there like no other! Thanks! Jan 23 with Michael Moynihan just superb. I’d pay for a Dusparch Pidcast subscription- I have too much to read as is. Thanks fellow travelers.
Shared it with my wife

I am a recent subscriber to The Dispatch but have been listening to The Remnant for a few months. Years ago I thought Jonah was a right wing nut, but have come to enjoy his thought provoking commentary (albeit a tad self absorbed) and his interviewing skills. His episode today with Sarah (who I listen to in Left Right & Center) was the first I shared with my wife. I’m glad to support The Dispatch.
Love it

Podcasts like this help you build your thought process that are not biased - something very, very badly needed in the US. Kudos to the entire team.
You are very thought provoking

I enjoy listening to you while I’m working out. On the Comey misadventure, it meant getting rid of things that wouldn’t work. It’s what you did to yesterday’s bad recording.

Great show today . It’s a tough topic and you dealt with it gracefully .. I’m 70 now so I have a lot of clarity about my interactions with changing sexual mores and my own aspirations in the world. Original Sin. As a Catholic I love it. Crooked timber indeed. I was selfish and greedy in my sexual pursuits because I felt hurt and lost and had an unhealthy need to win and be recognized as having power. The 80 20 rule. People tend to want the most attractive men and women when they are not the most attractive people themselves. A lot of the alienation canes from people being greedy and selfish and not having gratitude for the people that do like them . They always want more. In the past hundred years I think we are the only people that have been subject to relentless sex based marketing of advertising We think that is what winning is … status is .. It does seem like beauty standards are becoming broader .. maybe narrow casting will enable individuals to be seen because of the quality of their work and the content of their character. There are hundreds of interesting podcasts that would never have been seen in the old media environment .. Lately I have been seeing the legacy media as a brain dead soul destroying oligopoly .. how can I dig out from under their power .. Sidebar .. as a democrat that would like to win elections I find the focus on on poor scmuck in El Salvador very destructive to my party .. There are a hundred policy changes that thoughtful democrats could advocate to deal with 20 million illegal migrants … how could they possibly break through .. the intra party incentives are all too leftist and the media is useless ..

I don’t agree with Jonah on many things — but he and his guests always make me think. I appreciate that in this media environment more than anything.

Jonah, thank you so much for eloquently espousing beliefs with which I more often than not agree. A real breath of fresh air in this all or nothing environment in which we live. I was beginning to believe that sanity was rare, but then I found this podcast.
Thank You !!

Thank you so much for having David Bahnsen on your show. What an exceptional speaker. Not only broke down complicated economic ideas into simple, clearly understood facts ( the weak dollar is not the problem, but a symptom of the problem) but masterfully presented both sides of controversial arguments. Your best guests are the ones that concede points that go against their argument, but then present an effective defense as to why their argument should win. David was no exception. In fact, I enjoyed his presentation, his clarity, his vast knowledge, and his fairness so much that I purchased his book just now on Amazon through your link. Please have him back frequently to explain economic issues And keep up the good work. Love what you guys are doing at the Dispatch.
Thank Goodness for Goldberg

Jonah is the voice inside my head, only smarter and better read. Thank you for giving me something to nod along in agreement to as a lifelong conservative who’s become despondent over the state of the GOP. Don’t know where to turn for sane, logical, and consistent conservative commentary? Right here! Thank you Jonah Goldberg.
